Often times, people ask what my favourite restaurant is, and for the longest of times, I've been saying La Taqueria because: (a) it's inexpensive, (b) it's consistent, (c) there are so many different toppings, (d) the décor looks good, and so do the men there. On this occasion, since we had so many tacos, I thought it warranted a revisit post, though I've frequented both locations many times since the last post.
My two favourite tacos of all-time at La Taqueria are the tinga de pollo (left) and pescado (bottom). The chicken is really flavourful with the chipotle tomato sauce and I love the mexican cheese and sour cream. So good. I get this everytime. On the other hand, the fish taco is lighter with it's grilled white fish and pico de gallo. The de lengua (top) is a beef tongue taco, which is quite moist and the de cachette (right) is a braised beef tongue that is also pretty good.
Rick went with the same favourites, as well as the al pastor (bottom right). It's been a while since I've tried this pork and pineapple taco, but he enjoyed it.

Meat tacos are $2.50 each or four for $9.50... but if you check their Facebook page for the word of the day, you get a fifth taco for free! And free is always good.
